The Queen of The Danube

Budapest: two cities in one. A popular and affordable escape for people of all ages. But is the Queen of the Danube really as regal as she seems?
The Fisherman’s Bastion is the eye of the city, offering views like no other. Overlooking the Parliament Building, this UNESCO World Heritage site, located in Buda, is a must-see attraction.
Across the Danube lies Pest, the heart of the city, home to St. Stephen’s Basilica, Vajdahunyad Castle, and the Széchenyi Thermal Baths — three must-visit spots in Budapest.
Szimpla Kert is an unmissable bar in District 7. If you haven’t heard of it already, it’s the most famous ruin bar in the city — and for good reason. With eight bars and countless rooms, its eclectic, mismatched aesthetic attracts people from all over the world. If you’re into clubbing, Morrison’s 2 and Instant-Fogas are two essential stops. These multi-storey venues, with multiple rooms each themed differently, have something for everyone — even a pizza bar.
So, what is it that makes Budapest so special? Similar yet strikingly different from other Central European cities, it’s the perfect blend of Prague and Vienna. Split into two distinct sides, Buda and Pest, Budapest is truly one of the most unique cities in the world.
